I’d always wanted to be in business and I’d always wanted a business that was more than just a job.
When I looked at many of the businesses around me, I decided I was going to do a few things differently:
- My business was going to be highly profitable
- I was going to have a management team so the business could run (and even grow) without me
- I was going to use the income from my business to create wealth, stability and lifestyle for me and my family
With little guidance at the beginning of my journey I spent the next 18 years learning, absorbing, and doing everything I could to become better as a leader and business owner. It started off as just me working from my garage to a multi-million dollar, 40+ employee business that I successfully exited in my mid-40’s.
Running and scaling a business is hard: managing distractions to stay on track, knowing the right activities that will push the business forward and making sure the right people are working for you are constant pressures business owners have to deal with.
I’ve seen businesses lose astounding amounts of money through strategic misdirection, poor decision making and underperformance.
